Founding director of COIL – the Penn State Center for Online Innovation in Learning. Created, and is currently implementing, the center’s mission of developing a research community focused on the continued exploration of methods to improve learning through the use of online innovations. Launched academic and professional development events on online learning. Initiated and oversees grant programs for Penn State faculty to develop online innovations. Participated in the creation of Penn State’s MOOC strategy and selection process. Associate Dean of Education – College of Information Sciences and Technology – The Pennsylvania State University (2010-2012), participated in the College administrative reorganization. Supervised the College undergraduate majors including student recruitment, academic advising, curriculum revision, and career placement. Managed graduate programs including recruiting and student affairs. Managed undergraduate education, in-residence and online, at the College including the creation of the new SRA major online, curriculum updating, course development and faculty hiring. Since 2007, Associate Professor – College of Information Sciences and Technology – The Pennsylvania State University.
